Welcome to Hava Childcare Academy, nestled in the scenic beauty of Maple Ridge, British Columbia. With a capacity to nurture 100 children across six thoughtfully designed classrooms, we are committed to providing an enriching environment where your child can thrive.

Our unique program integrates the best practices of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) philosophies:

• Montessori Approach: We encourage independence and self-directed learning, allowing children to explore subjects at their own pace, fostering confidence and a lifelong love for learning.
• Emilia Philosophy: Emphasizing collaboration and expressive arts, we create opportunities for children to engage in projects that reflect their interests, promoting creativity and critical thinking.
• Learning (SEL): Our curriculum incorporates SEL to help children develop essential skills such as empathy, emotional regulation, and positive relationship-building.

At Hava Childcare Academy, we are incredibly proud of our dedicated and highly qualified team of educators. Our staff members are passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for your child.

Each of our educators holds the appropriate qualifications and certification in early childhood education and is certified in First Aid. All staff members also hold current Criminal Record Checks (CRC), ensuring that your child's safety and well-being are our top priorities.

Our team is made up of experienced professionals who are committed to continuous professional development. By staying up to date with the latest early childhood practices, we ensure that your child receives the most innovative and effective learning experiences.

There may be times when additional staff, such as volunteers, substitutes, or practicum students, are on site to support our programs. We want to assure you that anyone working directly with children undergoes a thorough interview process with the director. All individuals will also be required to provide the necessary documentation and qualifications to ensure they meet the standards required to work with children. This includes background checks, certification, and relevant training.

Our priority is always the safety, well-being, and quality care of your child, and we ensure that all staff, whether permanent or temporary, are fully qualified and aligned with our values and practices

Hours of operation

Hava Childcare Academy is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For families requiring extended hours, we offer extended hour care from 7:30am to 5:30pm for an additional fee.

Special events & closures

At Hava Childcare Academy, we believe in creating meaningful experiences beyond the classroom. Throughout the year, we host special events and community-building activities that allow families to engage with our centre and one another.

We are open year-round, with our school year running from September to August. We notify families in advance of any scheduled closures, including holiday breaks, professional development days for staff, and unforeseen closures due to weather or other circumstances.

A calendar with all important dates will be provided at the start of the year.
